FOR DOCTORS AND PHYSIOTHERAPISTS
Clinical Cases
Anonymised cases showing clinical reasoning, differential diagnosis and the choice of management.

How an orthopaedic surgeon can use these clinical cases
Each case describes a specific clinical problem without information that could identify the patient. The aim is to show the reasoning: which information mattered, which diagnoses were considered, what additional investigations contributed and why a particular strategy was chosen.
Starting point
Symptoms, functional limitations, history, injury mechanism and the key clinical examination findings.
Differential diagnosis
Clinical hypotheses, selection of imaging, correlation of findings with symptoms and information that changed the decision.
Management and lessons
The rationale for non-operative or operative treatment, follow-up planning, rehabilitation and the key practical lessons.
Clinical areas
Shoulder, elbow, hand and wrist, hip, knee, ankle and foot, trauma and peripheral nerves. Individual cases will be published only after the complete, anonymised material has been prepared.
