Cookie Policy

Last updated: 15 September 2026

This policy covers cookies and similar technologies used on pobozy.org. The website controller is Tomasz Poboży, address: ul. Wyspiańskiego 17, 06-400 Ciechanów, Poland, contact: pobozytomasz@gmail.com. Personal data processing is described in the privacy policy.

1. What cookies are

This policy applies when a patient, an orthopaedic surgeon or any other reader uses the educational website. Cookies are small pieces of information stored by your browser on your device. They may remember settings, such as your language, or an identifier used for statistics. Other technologies that store or access information can serve similar purposes. Whether consent is needed depends on how a technology works and why it is used, not merely on its name.

2. Categories we use

  • Necessary and functional settings for the requested service: handling your privacy choices and the consent panel state. We do not use these to measure interest in articles or for advertising.
  • Statistics: Google Analytics helps us understand how visitors use the website. We enable technologies in this category after you agree. They may use online identifiers; producing aggregate reports does not mean that all underlying data are anonymous.
  • Embedded external media: where a page contains a YouTube player, it requires enabling the relevant consent category, labelled “External content” in the panel. This concerns embeds on our website, rather than ordinary links. The website does not run its own advertising campaigns through this panel.

3. Technologies in use

NameProvider / domainPurpose and categoryLifetime
pll_languagepobozy.org / PolylangRemembering the language version of the website; a functional preference. This cookie is set when a language version is displayed, independently of analytics consent.Session cookie — no fixed expiry date. It is normally removed when the browser session ends; session-restore features may retain or restore it.
cmplz_*, including cmplz_functional, cmplz_preferences, cmplz_statistics, cmplz_marketing, cmplz_consented_services, cmplz_policy_id, cmplz_banner-statuspobozy.org / ComplianzRecording consent choices, settings version and panel state to respect your decision. Necessary for the privacy controls.365 days from being set; changing preferences may set them again. The names used depend on your choice and the panel functions enabled.
_ga and _ga_*pobozy.org / Google AnalyticsWebsite usage statistics; enabled after consent. The default specified by Google is 2 years. The actual expiry depends on tag settings and browser restrictions; you can inspect the expiry of a stored cookie in your browser settings.

Names sharing a prefix may have different technical suffixes. Not every cookie within a listed group is necessarily present on every visit. Google describes its default Analytics cookies and how their settings may be changed.

The periods in this table describe how long a technology operates in your browser. Retention by the service provider is a separate matter described in the privacy policy. Deleting a cookie from your device does not automatically delete all data already received by a provider.

The panel lets you accept optional technologies, reject them or save your preferences. Statistics are off by default. Continuing to browse does not constitute consent.

4. Choosing and changing consent

You can reopen the panel using “Cookie settings” on the website. You may withdraw consent at any time. Withdrawal applies to future processing and does not affect the lawfulness of processing already carried out.

You can also control cookies through your browser, including deleting stored cookies. Blocking all cookies may prevent your language or privacy preferences from being remembered.

5. External links and administration accounts

When you follow a link to a booking system, map or social network, that service’s settings and policies apply. A link to an external website is different from an embedded player that contacts its provider while you remain on our website.

After you consent to an embedded YouTube player, the provider may use its own cookies and similar technologies, depending on the player, settings and whether you are signed in to Google. The provider in the EEA is Google Ireland Limited; its rules are described in Google’s privacy policy. Embeds requiring consent remain blocked until you agree.

MP3 files available on the website are played from its own server. They are not embedded Spotify or ElevenLabs players.

The website does not offer reader accounts. WordPress login and administration-setting cookies concern authorised website administrators and may additionally appear in their browsers.

6. Updating the list

We update the list when configuration or services change. Any new technology that requires consent must respect your choice; adding it to this policy does not replace obtaining consent.
