How an orthopaedic surgeon adapts protocols to individual care

The individual case, the individual patient, the individual surgeon. Rehabilitation planning requires knowledge of the actual procedure, tissue and bone quality, the stability achieved during surgery and concomitant repairs.

Missing surgical details are not a reason to accelerate rehabilitation independently. The operative report and individual postoperative instructions remain the reference.

Available protocols

This section brings together material on common knee operations. Detailed recommendations depend on the extent and quality of the individual repair.
