FOR DOCTORS AND PHYSIOTHERAPISTS
Foot, Achilles tendon and ankle
Care after Achilles tendon repair, ligament reconstruction, fracture fixation, corrective procedures and arthrodesis.

Protocols and individual care
The individual case, the individual patient, the individual surgeon. The pace of weight-bearing, range of motion, limb position in an orthosis and timing of the transition to footwear depend on the procedure, repair or fixation stability, tissue and bone quality and the orthopaedic surgeon’s instructions.
After Achilles tendon, ligament, bone and joint surgery, the same exercises may be appropriate at different stages. The procedure performed and any concomitant repairs must be known before weight-bearing or range of motion is changed.
