From outpatient care to surgery

Services include orthopaedic consultations, diagnostic ultrasound, minor orthopaedic procedures and ultrasound-guided procedures. Not all minor procedures require image guidance. The procedure and treatment setting are selected after clinical assessment. Please confirm availability at the chosen clinic when booking a particular procedure.

At Medicover Hospital in Wilanów I provide consultations and surgery. Assessment includes discussion of the diagnosis, treatment options, expected benefits, risks and the subsequent care plan. An X-ray or MRI finding alone does not determine whether surgery is needed.

What happens during the consultation?

I begin by discussing symptoms, previous injuries and treatment. This is followed by an orthopaedic examination and review of the available medical records.

Ultrasound is used when it can answer a specific clinical question. Other imaging may be needed depending on the problem. We then discuss the diagnosis or further assessment and the possible treatment options.

Treatment may involve non-operative care, individually selected rehabilitation, an outpatient procedure or surgery.

What should you bring?

  • Previous X-ray, ultrasound, MRI or CT images and reports, if available.
  • Hospital discharge summaries and records of previous operations.
  • A medication list and information about important medical conditions.
  • Details of when symptoms started, what makes them worse and what treatment has already been tried.

There is no need to obtain an MRI simply to have a scan before the first consultation. Imaging is selected according to the clinical problem.

Questions before your appointment

How do I book a consultation in Warsaw?

Choose a location in Clinics and appointments and contact that clinic directly. Each clinic manages its own appointments. When booking ultrasound or a procedure, specify the service you require.

Can consultation and ultrasound take place at the same visit?

Ultrasound may form part of the consultation when indicated and available at the chosen location. Not every problem requires ultrasound. Confirm the scope of the appointment and the fee when booking.

Can I attend after previous surgery?

Yes. The consultation may concern follow-up, persistent symptoms or assessment of further treatment options. Bring your operation report, discharge summary and previous imaging.

Where can I check fees and the next available appointment?

The chosen clinic confirms current fees, appointment availability and the services included. Clinic websites and available fee schedules are linked beside their contact details. Hospital treatment costs should be confirmed directly with Medicover Hospital.
